Pavenham
St Peter's Pavenham is a warm community-friendly church committed to growing and serving God and our community, with something for everyone - why not come along and see for yourself? You will be sure of a warm welcome.
We meet every Sunday for worship at 11.15am. The first Sunday of the month is a communion service whilst the remaining Sundays are more informal in style - there is no communion and there is a mix of traditional and contemporary music. These 'Morning Worship' services are particularly suitable for families, although all ages seem to enjoy them! Please check the front page calendar for more details.
After every service we serve coffee and biscuits, giving people the opportunity to talk with each other and also get to know newcomers, and this time may last as long as the service!
A thriving home group meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 7.30pm to pray for our community and read and discuss the Bible - and also to drink more coffee!
We hold an informal lunch or tea approximately once a month, aimed at those on the fringe of church, and these are proving very popular.
In order to reach out to our children and young families we have recently started Messy Church. This runs between 3pm-4pm on the second Sunday of each month, do have a look on the diary page to check dates.
We also run creative worship events specifically aimed at our community. These include Easter Egg Hunts, a Remembrance reflection in the local pub after the service at the War Memorial and at Christmas an acted out nativity service in a local farm.
There is also a caring team who discreetly offer support and prayer for those in any kind of need.
The church is well supported by many in the community, including the Friends of St Peter’s who help us with the expense of running the church, the bell ringers and the Flower Guild.
