|ALL SAINTS' CHURCH, MILTON ERNEST|
Previously known as 'All hallows' All Saints' Church dates from the
11th century and probably replaced an earlier wooden building. It was
restored during 1858 to 1865 by William Butterfield. The 75 foot tower
is 13th century and has 6 bells which are still in use, and a clock
dated 1882. It is surrounded by a churchyard which is still open to new
burials, contains a war memorial and at the east end has a recently
built memorial garden.
A sound system was recently installed.
Plans exist to extend the church to incorporate toilet and kitchen facilities.
The church is usually open to visitors during daylight hours, but if you find it locked and you wish to enter then please contact the vicar or a churchwarden.

Children are welcome at all services.
Adventurers and Explorers Sunday Clubs are not operating at the moment (see the Children and Youth page).
All children are therefore invited with their parents into our Sunday services. In particular the 'Morning Worship' services (2nd and 4th Sundays in Milton Ernest, and also at the other churches) are less formal and children will learn more easily from these. At a future date the Adventurers and Explorers will resume in some form and details will be here.
|Coffee, tea and biscuits (and sometimes more) is generally served after the 9.30am Sunday Service.|
An evening house group meets from time to time. It's an
informal discussion group open to everyone. Please check the Diary

"Beer. Wine 'n' Banter" is an open discussion group that meets every 2nd Monday at the Queen's Head in Milton Ernest and anything and everything is discussed over a drink.
